Our New Location Since April 2026
Since April 2026, Offroad Vietnam has moved to a new location not far from Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Our new office is located at Lam Du Lake 3, offering a spacious, convenient, and easy-to-access location for customers renting motorcycles or joining our Vietnam motorcycle tours.
The new location has less traffic congestion, making it an ideal starting point for your motorbike adventure in Northern Vietnam. Instead of spending time navigating the dense traffic in central Hanoi, you can collect your motorcycle and get onto the open road more easily. This is especially convenient for riders heading towards the mountains and countryside north of Hanoi.
Another reason for the move is to prepare for possible traffic restrictions or limitations on motorcycles in Hanoi’s Old Quarter from late 2026. Moving outside the busiest central area allows us to provide a more convenient and reliable starting point for our customers while avoiding potential restrictions in the future.
Our new Offroad Vietnam location at Lam Du Lake 3 combines space, easier access, and a less congested starting point, helping you begin your Vietnam motorcycle tour or rental trip smoothly and safely.

Why Our Old Office (Before April 2026) Is Off-road?
This page provides our contact details and office location in Hanoi. Vietnam Offroad has been providing guided and unguided motorcycle adventures since December 2006, helping riders discover a Real Vietnam that is often difficult to reach by car or public transport. We are located in the noisy and lively Old Quarter of Hanoi, right in the heart of the city. Staying and working here allows us to give visitors a genuine taste of local Hanoi life and Vietnamese culture. Vietnam Offroad is part of Offroad Vietnam Adventure Travel.
Our Hanoi motorcycle office is not difficult to find. First, go to No. 34A or No. 36 Nguyen Huu Huan Street. Enter the small alley located between 34A and 36 Nguyen Huu Huan. Once inside the alley, our office is the third back door on the left, approximately 10 metres from the main street, as shown on the map below.
Look for our orange Offroad Vietnam sign to identify the entrance. You can also access this small alley from Hang Bac Street or Luong Ngoc Quyen Street, although these approaches can be more difficult to navigate, especially if you are unfamiliar with the narrow streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

You need to check with custom office where you live so they can let you know the paperwork and requirement. There is some taxes but quite cheap but you have to bring the bike out of Vietnam when you finish your job or when your work permit expires. However, many people can leave without bringing their bikes with them. Whoever buy these bikes will have to pay import taxes and change of ownership.
Hi. My wife and I are visiting HCMC in June for my son’s wedding. We intend to stay in Hoi An and Hanoi mostly after this. I own and ride a Tiger 800xc and a KTM 690. Unfortunately, my wife does not ride but pillions happily on the Tiger and recently on a BMW 1200 GS when we toured the Swiss and Italian Alps. I am 62 now but am fit, frequently doing 8-10 hrs/day on the 690 when I do ride. Can you recommend some 1-3 days trips in these areas with a bike that will take both of us?

Offroad Vietnam is based in Hanoi only and haven’t provided one-way motorbike hire yet. Unfortunately, you currently need to collect and return rental bikes in Hanoi only. We rent only near new 125cc Honda bikes or the older but still reliable Honda XR250’s. They were made by Japanese Honda companies, not the Chinese copies. We don’t use other brands due to part availability and reliability. However, none of our bike is suitable for riding two up. A standard touring motorbike for two people is from 650cc and this is very expensive in Vietnam due to 120% taxes. FYI, A new BMW 1200GS costs 37,000$US in Vietnam!

Hello James. Most of our tours are private and only some are open to more riders. Updates are posted here. If there is no tour you could join, it’s possible to start a new trip and we advertise to get more riders if possible. The next available tour is from February 20-26. Does this work for you? All other trips were closed for riders to tag along.

Hi me and the girlfriend are looking at coming to Vietnam probably end of next year and doing a 3 week bike trip around Vietnam.
As she doesn’t ride she will be on the back so looking at a 250 at least. I am an experience rider been to most of Europe on the bike over the years.
I like the sound of your semi-guided tours to see the best parts of Vietnam but would like to be able to stay a day or two at some of the best places, would this be possible?

Hello Dave. Our 250cc dirt bike (Honda XR250) is powerful enough for two people. However, the seat is quite skinny (dirt bikes always have skinny seats) so you will need to stop very often. On a semi-guided trip, in addition to bike rental costs (35$US/day) you have a Vietnamese local who is a guide, a mechanic and a translator. He also takes care of the routes and helps with food and hotel arrangement. He’s a real bonus to the whole experience. His salary + his bike is 100$US/day and this cost will be shared between riders in your group. You pay him fuel, accommodation and food during the trip. This option costs 135$US/day for two of you.

Hello David, Jose and Daniel. We are based in Hanoi only and unfortunately haven’t provided one-way motorbike hire yet. There are some companies who offer one-way rental but sadly they don’t use same quality or bikes like our flee so sadly we can’t recommend. You could easily find them through Google. Hello Ashley. Bikes we sell are at this link. You can buy a scooter or a dirt bike from us. Scooters are newer but can’t ride comfortably like dirt bikes.
I will be in Hanoi on 25th,26,27, of March and after these dates was wondering if any motorcycle tours are avaiable to join into ,very flexible as to where ,when etc ,as i am solo traveller also is there bikes you can hire to ride down the country and drop off in other cities ???,costs etc

Hello Rick. We only have one office in Hanoi, North Vietnam and unfortunately we are not offering one-way motorbike rental. You may search for other shops that offer one-way motorcycle hire or consider buying a second hand bike in Hanoi. It costs you from just 200$US (fake Chinese Win, small and unreliable) to 950$US (good Japanese Honda dirt bike XL125). We only use real Honda bikes and have one dirt bike for sale. Good luck.
